Subsea Structure
Nymo, with several decades of experience in fabricating subsea structures, offers complete EPC project execution, load out and transportation.
Our operation model include close collaboration with customers and partners to ensure our projects are developed and delivered on time, at agreed cost and at the satisfaction of all involved parties.
Plug & Abandonment
Plug and Abandonment (P&A) is the process of safely sealing an oil or gas well that is no longer in use. This involves placing plugs inside the wellbore to prevent the flow of hydrocarbons or other fluids, protecting the environment and surrounding reservoirs.
At Nymo AS, we work with partners to develop and present the latest technological trends in well plugging and abandonment (P&A), highlighting ongoing research in Norway and addressing the needs of operators and companies specializing in P&A operations.
Gas Turbine Accessories
Nymo has a significant track record within studies, engineering, construction and offshore installation of optimized accessories for gas turbines, compressors and generators.
Nymo engineering services includes calculations and analyses within FEA, CFD, vibrations, noise, heat, structures and process. We perfom 3d modeling, technical safety and HSE analyses, HAZID/HAZOPS, field studies and preparation of installation manuals and procedures.

2020 - APL/NOV K6D6 RUBY FPSO
Geostationary- and Shipstationary module assembly, pipespool fabrication and loadout.
The modules are key parts of the FPSO’s Turret and Mooring system.
K6-D6 is part of the MJ field, Bay of Bengal , East Coast India
All work was carried out in Nymo’s workshops in Grimstad – Vikkilen
2019 - Fenja
4 subsea structures
Client: TechnipFMC
End customer: Neptune Energy
Contract awarded: 2017
Year of delivery: 2019
Scope of work:
Fabrication of 4 subsea structures, i.e. 2 manifolds and 2 integrated template structures.
The main fabrication work was carried out in Nymo workshops both in Grimstad and in Eydehavn.
Fenja is a subsea development located in the Norwegian Sea 120 km north of Kristiansund (Norway).
2017 - OCTP GHANA
Nymo delivered 18 subsea structures to Baker Hughes, a GE Oil and Gas Company.
The end customer was ENI. The structures that were made were: 8 A-fleet, 4 fleet, 3 SSIVs, 1 GLSS and 2 Wet parking stands, with a total weight of about 1,300,000 tons. The structures will be placed at depths of 130 to 1600 m, 60 km outside the coast of Ghana. The project started in June 2015. Last delivery was in August 2017. The work was carried out at Nymo’s workshops in Grimstad (Vikkilen) and Eydehavn.
2016 - Peregrino II
In April 2016 Nymo AS signed a drilling module contract with Cameron, which contained eight modules totaling 1900 tons.
The end customer in the delivery, South Atlantic Holding (SAH), intends to use the drilling module to perform drilling operations on the Peregrino II field in Brazil. Originally the project was sold to OSX, but after they went bankrupt in 2015, Cameron took over ownership. The modules were then resold to South Atlantic Holding, which is owned 60% owned by Equinor. After the sale, Nymo was tasked with finalizing and modifying the modules according to new owner’s requirements and needs. Work went on for about two years, and at onepoint over one hundred and twenty people were committed to the project.
Furthermore, in July 2017, Nymo was awarded the transport contract directly from South Atlantic Holding. The assignment was to transport the modules from Nymo and Singapore to Kiewit in Texas. The modules were delivered to Kiewit on August 12, 2018. Nymo performed a thorough and secure job throughout the project implementation, both in their own workshop and during the follow-up of the transport assignment in Singapore and Texas. No injuries were registered, and the modules were delivered on schedule.
2015 - Johan Sverdrup
Nymo, together with Aibel, was awarded the contract on the Johan Sverdrup Drilling Platform (JSDP) by Equinor in the spring of 2015.
The contract was a total EPC contract, including responsibility for both design, procurement and fabrication. Nymo was given the overall responsibility for the drilling deck, the sub-structure and installation of the derrick (the Drilling Equipment Set, or DES), with a total weight of 3300 tons. Nymo received positive feedback both for good design solutions and top-quality execution of fabrication work. The work was carried out safely, without serious accidents, and the product was delivered complete and according to plan in September 2017.
Nymo and Aibel started design work together in February 2015. The structure was mainly fabricated by a subcontractor in Poland, while assembling and fitting was performed at Nymo’s own workshop in Vikkilen, Grimstad. Nymo completed the DES according to plan in September 2017. It was then loaded onto a barge and transported to the Klosterfjord, where it was handed over to Aibel. Here the DES was assembled with the rest of the drilling platform, which was completed and handed over to Equinor according to plan in spring 2018.
2012 - Sevan Voyager
Sevan entered into the charter contract and the services agreement with E.ON Ruhrgas UK E&P Limited, in respect of the chartering and operation of FPSO Sevan Voyageur on the Huntington field (block 22/14b) in the UK sector of the North Sea.
Installation of the FPSO on the Huntington field is expected to take place in Q4 2011 with first oil targeted for Q1 2012.
Sevan Voyaguer arrived to Nymo, Eydehavn yard in October 2010. Nymo scope will be the installation of a gas compression plant and expansion of water injection capabilities on FPSO Sevan Voyageur to upgrade the unit for operation on the Huntington field.
